Dr. Gifty Amarteifio (she/her) is a research and evaluation specialist from St. Paul, MN. She holds a Ph.D. in Evaluation Studies and a MA in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. She has conducted evaluations in K-12 education, higher education, community-based organizations, non-profits and government agencies. Her evaluation journey in these various sectors has allowed her to acquire skill around instrument development, purposeful data gathering, data analysis, and program implementation; all of which aids to her systems thinking approach to evaluation.
Gifty has a wealth of experience using qualitative methods to discover areas of success and improvement, to support program development and delivery, to emerge guiding principles, and to identify behavior trends and group perspectives. She recognizes the limitations of an individual mind and strives to work alongside individuals who can think outside of the box and bring both logic and lived experiences to solve challenging problems. Gifty comes alive when she can capitalize on her strengths as a researcher and her passions to understand and address complex social problems. Across her many projects, delivering insights and findings in a manner that maximizes its potential for use is of the utmost importance to her.
