welcome to

We are a cooperative consulting firm specializing in creative evaluation, research, and systems change for social justice and civil rights. We uncover how and why efforts for change are working well, when and where they aren't working well, and we develop innovative solutions that help schools, communities, non-profit organizations, businesses, and local governments overcome barriers to change.

About Us

Our clients want to create positive change, and we help them think evaluatively. We help them design, collect, and analyze the data they need to look honestly at their current efforts, understand their effects, utilize evaluation, and develop strategies for growth. TerraLuna equips people with the skills required to create lasting, positive impact in local communities, nationally, and around the world.

We strive to serve as pioneers in the emerging fields of developmental evaluation, principles-focused evaluation, and creative evaluation as ways to support work for increased social justice and equity. At the same time, we stay attuned to these same ideals in our more traditional approaches, such as longitudinal qualitative inquiry, mixed-methods utilization-focused impact evaluations, and experimental and quasi-experimental designs. We often challenge preconceived ideas about what evaluation looks like and who should be involved in the evaluation process. We strive to lift up voices that are typically marginalized, and contribute to meaningful reflection and learning.

Our Services

We design and lead evaluation + research that is collaborative, utilization-focused, and supportive of equity and justice focused initiatives.

We lead workshops and facilitate learning focused on what we do and how we do it, built on the spirit of connectedness and generosity.

We provide evaluation coaching to support leaders in the development of evaluation strategies; making sense of data; planning for evaluative conversations, and more.

We conduct literature reviews to find out what's already been written, appraise how good this evidence is, and then summarize it.
