Julie Warner is a mid-career professional transitioning into a new livelihood, adding program evaluation to her extensive experience in program planning and management. She thrives on information, and is a lifelong learner. She looks for the significance of differences, similarities, and tensions among diverse groups and cultures. How do these impact relationships and potential outcomes? These are among the elements inherent to evaluation, and that make it such a natural fit. Julie is completing a Professional Certificate in Program Evaluation at The University of Minnesota, and is gaining experience in designing and conducting practical, participatory evaluations for local nonprofits that measure outcomes and impacts, and capture emergent phenomena. She is a recent graduate of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota completing a Master of Public Affairs degree that focused on the intersection of energy and environment policy with global sustainable community development. She has extensive prior experience managing programs and projects for international and domestic community organizations, government, and private consultants; planning events and leading international tours; community engagement and organizing; and technical writing and research.
