WHAT IS A TERRALUNA SALON?
An intimate gathering of people with an inspiring host. The host facilitates an experience or conversation about something they care deeply about. This could be a conversation, a reading, a journaling exercise, a story circle, a dance, or any other experience that is meaningful to the host. They generally last 1.5 – 2 hours, require advanced registration and cost $10.
I THOUGHT YOU WERE EVALUATORS. WHY SALONS?
Our vision is to weave connections and support change at the intersection of learning, arts, and social justice. The intimate setting will weave connections between people. The topics and conversations will weave connections between ideas. Both will help us grow as people, as a community, and as learners.
WHY DO THEY COST MONEY TO PARTICIPATE?
We charge a small fee to cover the cost of managing the website and registration, and any costs associated with space rental, food, or other logistics. We also provide each host with a small stipend as thanks for sharing their time and experience with our community, often in very vulnerable and humbling ways. The $10 is an investment in the community, not an investment in our people and our community.
HOW CAN I LEARN MORE?
